This week we get inside the head of one of the most successful triathletes of all time. You are probably no stranger to who Macca is and this is a rare opportunity to find out what went through his head when he was racing. We discuss the champion mindset that allowed him to overcome his competitors and the voices inside his head that told him to stop. This week we also discuss the changes to the 2020 World Championship events and what this means for 2021. We look at the new Lance Armstrong documentary and changes to Strava. If you sign up for our new podcast membership you get a special bonus monthly episode with Chris McCormack exclusively available for MX Endurance members. This week we are excited to be joined by Australian triathlete and professional cyclist, Cameron Wurf. Cam has raced as an Olympic rower, professional cyclist (currently signed with Team Ineos) AND finished fifth in Kona in 2019. We talk about Cam's return to cycling, the impact that he has had on professional triathlon and his pursuit of high performance. This is another great opportunity to gain insight into what is involved in being one of the strongest athletes in the world. We also look at 70.3 World Championship changes (with confirmation being made after we recorded) and finally jump on the Lionel Sanders bandwagon. This week we are extremely lucky to be joined by Emma Frodeno (Snowsill), Australia’s only Olympic triathlon gold medalist, Commonwealth gold medalist, and three time world champion. We look back at her journey through triathlon, how it led to the high of 2008, how that race felt, and what followed. This is an amazing opportunity to do a deep dive into success at the highest level of our sport (and laugh about it!) We also discuss the possibility of Ironman moving their world championship to 2021 and doubling up in that year, while Tim talks through the changes being made to the IMVR series (he’s a big fan).
